Yen Ben (Lisbon)

Yen Ben is an improved selection of the Lisbon lemon, developed in New Zealand and widely regarded as one of the best lemon varieties for NZ conditions. It produces excellent crops of large, oval, smooth-skinned fruit with very few seeds and a good, strongly acidic juice content. Yen Ben is one of the hardiest lemon varieties available, tolerating cooler temperatures better than most, and performs reliably across a wide range of NZ growing regions. Self-fertile.
