Whiteheart

Whiteheart is NZ's most popular hazelnut for processing — producing reliable, good crops of small, round nuts on a low-vigour tree. The compact, lower-vigour habit makes it a more manageable garden tree than some of the more robust hazelnut varieties. Recommended as an important pollinator for other hazelnut varieties. Cross-pollination is essential for all hazelnuts. Nuts harvested March to April. Deciduous. Available from specialist NZ nut nurseries.
