Waingaro

Waingaro is a late-season feijoa variety producing medium to large fruit with sweet, aromatic flesh. Named for the Waingaro district in Northland. A productive and reliable variety, well suited to NZ home gardens. Partially self-fertile — crops more heavily when planted with another variety nearby for cross-pollination. Ripe May to June. Available from Wairere Nursery.
