Waiau

Waiau is an excellent NZ home garden raspberry variety producing very large, light red, firm and easy-to-pick fruit on productive canes. A reliable, consistent cropper well suited to NZ conditions. The large fruit size and easy picking make it particularly rewarding for fresh eating and preserving. Named for the Waiau district of the South Island. Self-fertile. Grows on canes that should be pruned back after fruiting. Available at Wairere and specialist NZ berry nurseries.
