Violet de Bordeaux is a heritage French fig producing small fruit with striking black skin and rich red flesh. Cold hardy — one of the more frost-tolerant fig varieties suitable for cooler NZ regions. Dries naturally on the tree. Late season. All NZ figs are self-fertile — no pollinator required. A compact, manageable tree.
