Valencia

Valencia is closely related to Harwood's Late. Firm fruit with a rich, sweet flavour, very few seeds and a thin, bright orange skin. Known to re-green in warm weather as the fruit reabsorbs chlorophyll — this is normal and does not affect flavour. Ripens mid-spring through to mid-Summer. Self-fertile. Available from NZ citrus nurseries.
First produced in València, Spain and hybridized by William Wolfskill in the mid-1800s, in California.
