Tonda di Giffoni is an early, high-yielding Italian hazelnut variety producing medium-sized nuts of good flavour. Named for Giffoni Valle Piana in Campania, Italy — a major hazelnut-producing region. An early variety that starts the hazelnut harvest ahead of other varieties. Well-suited to NZ conditions. Self-fertile but crops more heavily with a companion variety.
