Tentation

Tentation is a French apple variety developed at the Delbard Nursery in 1979 from a cross between Blushing Golden and Golden Delicious, also known as Delblush. New Zealand is the sole Southern Hemisphere grower of Tentation, making it a variety with a genuine local connection. The fruit is golden yellow with an attractive orange blush, and the flesh is firm, crisp and very juicy with a sweet-tart flavour and good acid levels. In NZ it ripens around late March, just after Jazz. Self-fertile.
