Tasty Blue™ (RE)

Tasty Blue™ is a Rabbiteye blueberry variety — producing deep blue, juicy, round berries with good flavour. Rabbiteye varieties (Vaccinium virgatum) are suited to warmer NZ growing areas, requiring less winter chill than Northern Highbush types but more heat in summer to ripen fully. Self-fertile but crops more heavily with another Rabbiteye variety for cross-pollination. A productive and reliable warm-climate blueberry. Available at Wairere Nursery.
