Tasman

Tasman is one of two thornless NZ boysenberry varieties — alongside Mapua — developed as part of NZ's significant boysenberry growing history. NZ is among the world's largest boysenberry producers, and the Tasman variety is one of the locally selected types that have become staples of the NZ home garden. Produces medium to large, dark red to purple berries with good flavour on a mostly spineless, trailing vine. Self-fertile. Train on wires or a trellis in a sunny position. Harvest December to January.
