Tamaki Special

Tamaki Special is an outstanding plum, and considered one of the best in the collection of Dan Hansen of Wilderland fame. Dan was an avid fruit tree collector who found this seedling growing on an Auckland roadside. Produces large, dark red, meaty plums full of flavour and very sweet. Great for dessert and bottling. A vigorous growing tree. Gifted to the Koanga collection by the late Dan Hansen of Wilderland. Self-fertile. Available from Koanga Institute.
