Tamaki Special

Tamaki Special is an outstanding plum, and considered one of the best of the collection of Dan Hansen of Wilderland fame. Dan was an avid fruit tree collector and he found this seedling growing on an Auckland roadside. It produces large, dark red meaty plums that are full of flavour and very sweet. They are great for dessert and bottling. A vigorous growing tree. This plum was gifted to the Koanga collection Koanga by the late Dan Hansen of Wilderland.
