Takapuna Russet

Takapuna Russet is a New Zealand heritage apple producing russeted, golden-skinned fruit with crisp, juicy flesh and a distinctively sharp, tangy flavour. An all-purpose variety suited to fresh eating, cooking and cider making, it is valued by heritage apple enthusiasts for its characterful flavour. As with most russet varieties, the rough, dry skin is perfectly normal and does not affect eating quality. A good keeper.
