Tahitian

Tahitian lime produces fruit generally the size of small lemons, with thin skin, juicy and seedless flesh with the characteristic sharp, acidic lime flavour. When fully ripe the fruit turns a light yellow — it is often picked green for culinary use. The most widely grown commercial lime in NZ. Self-fertile. An evergreen tree requiring a warm, frost-free position with good drainage. Available at Wairere, The Plant Company and NZ citrus nurseries nationwide.
