Sweet Black

Sweet Black is an ornamental as well as edible fig — highly ornamental with broad, lobed, glossy dark green foliage that makes it a beautiful garden specimen. Produces delicious sweet, dark-skinned edible fruit. A relatively compact fig tree needing room to grow but suitable for most home garden situations. All NZ figs are self-fertile — no pollinator required. Grows to 3–4m in a warm, sheltered, free-draining position. Available from specialist NZ fig nurseries.
