Sultan

Sultan is a mid-season plum variety producing medium to large, deep red fruit with soft, juicy flesh and good flavour. A reliable home garden variety for fresh eating and cooking. Produced on a semi-dwarf tree — a useful characteristic for smaller home orchards where a standard-sized plum tree would be too large. Requires a pollinator such as Duff's Early Jewel, Red Doris or Santa Rosa. Mid-season, ripening January to February. Compact and productive. Available at Wairere Nursery.
