Staccato
Staccato is a late-season cherry variety ripening in late January to early February — one of the very latest sweet cherries, extending the NZ cherry season well into late summer. Produces large, crunchy, firm cherries that hold well on the tree, giving a longer picking window. The late harvest and firm texture make Staccato excellent for fresh eating and exporting. Requires a pollinator such as Lapins or Stella. Available at Wairere and specialist NZ cherry nurseries.
