Spain (Spanish)

Spain (Spanish) is a cherimoya variety with sweet, juicy, mild flesh and a delicate pineapple tang. It is somewhat prone to fruit splitting prematurely — best monitored closely as harvest approaches to pick at the right moment before splitting occurs. One of the larger-fruited cherimoya varieties. The classic cherimoya custard-like flesh is outstanding. In NZ, cherimoyas are effectively self-pollinating. Grow in a warm, sheltered position. Available at Flying Dragon Nursery NZ.
