Soledad Pinenut (Pinus Torreyana)

Known as Soledad or Torrey Pinenut, Pinus torreyana is a large, broadly crowned pine tolerant of dry and coastal sites. Considered very rare and endangered in its origin country (USA), being the rarest pine in North America. Produces large, sweet, edible pine nut seeds that fall to the ground, and distinctive long silvery-green needles. Both evergreen and hardy — an attractive, easy-care and edible tree. Cold hardy. A genuinely unusual and striking specimen tree.
