Siroba Pistachio

The Siroba Pistachio is the female variety — it must be paired with the male Marshall Pistachio for nut production. The pistachio is a deciduous, drought-adapted plant that thrives in long, hot, dry summers. Quite hardy to frost with high salinity tolerance, suitable for some coastal areas. Free-draining soil is essential. Pistachios need around 7 months of growing season, frost-free for at least 200 days, with hot, dry conditions into autumn. Flowering usually occurs mid to late October.
