Sir Prize

Sir Prize is a large, golden apple of the Golden Delicious type with an attractive blush — very juicy, with crisp, tender flesh and an excellent keeping ability. A tip-bearer, meaning fruit is produced on the tips of branches rather than on spurs — pruning accordingly is important. Mid to late season. Good for fresh eating and cooking. An excellent keeper, extending the harvest season. Requires a pollinator. Available at Wairere and specialist NZ nurseries.
