Silverhill (Satsuma)

Silverhill is an early-ripening Satsuma mandarin with thick-skinned, easy-peel fruit — particularly well suited to cooler NZ growing areas where most other citrus struggles. Juicy and sweet with the mild, gentle flavour characteristic of the Satsuma type. Satsumas are among the most cold-hardy of all citrus, tolerating light frosts once established. Self-fertile. An important variety for gardeners in Wellington, cooler coastal areas and the upper South Island. Available at Flying Dragon Nursery NZ.
