Sharwil

Sharwil is a Type B avocado variety widely regarded as one of the best-tasting avocados available in New Zealand. Produces medium to large pear-shaped fruit — larger than Hass — with golden yellow, buttery, creamy flesh and lime-green skin near the surface. Small seed, excellent oil content, outstanding flavour. Spring to summer ripening. Long considered a premium eating avocado by NZ growers. Self-fertile but crops more heavily with a Type A variety nearby. Available at Flying Dragon Nursery NZ.
