Serr Walnut (Juglans Regia)

The Serr Walnut (Juglans regia 'Serr') is a grafted variety that tolerates hotter climates and is resistant to sunburn — a useful characteristic for warmer NZ growing areas. Produces large-sized walnuts that can be harvested early to mid-season. A vigorous grower and good ornamental tree that tolerates less fertile soils, provided they are free-draining. Grows to approximately 15m×12m. Self-fertile.
