Seckles

Seckles is Koanga's spelling of the classic Seckel pear — a small, intensely sweet and spicy heritage variety, one of the most flavourful of all pears. Russet-brown skin, firm buttery flesh with an almost honey-like sweetness. Small fruit, outstanding flavour. Note: this variety is listed as Seckel elsewhere in the Fruitfool database. Mid-season. Available from Koanga Institute on Quince BA29 rootstock.
