Scarletina is a plum variety valued for its striking red skin and red flesh, and outstanding flavour and colour — making it exceptional for desserts, jams, and cooking where that vivid colour carries through into the finished product. The red-fleshed character of Scarletina gives jams and preserves a deep, beautiful colour that sets it apart from the more common yellow-fleshed cooking plums. Good mid-season variety.
