Scarlet Sunrise (Plumcot)

Scarlet Sunrise is a plumcot — a plum × apricot cross — producing attractive red-purple skinned fruit with sweet, flavoursome yellow flesh. An early-ripening variety, ready mid-December in Hawke's Bay. One of the earliest hybrid stone fruits to ripen in NZ. Sweet and flavoursome, excellent for fresh eating. Self-fertile. A novel and exciting addition to the home orchard for those wanting something different from standard stone fruits. Available from specialist NZ nurseries.
