Satsuma is a blood plum with juicy, sweet red flesh and red skin. Medium size, mid-season. Ideal for fresh eating, bottling, jams and jellies. A Japanese variety. Partially self-fertile — crops more reliably and heavily with another compatible plum variety nearby such as Santa Rosa or Billington.
