San Pedro

The San Pedro fig is considered a breba crop as we do not have the female fig wasp (Blastophaga psenes) in New Zealand, so it will only produce a parthenocarpic (the fruit can develop without fertilisation) on last years wood. The fruit has brown skin and red flesh and is considered a good fig for cooking.
