Rymer

Rymer is a heritage cooking apple originating in Thirsk, Yorkshire, first recorded in 1818 and thought to have been raised around 1750 by a Mr Rymer. It produces medium-sized fruit with yellowish, tender flesh suited to cooking and baking. A free-growing, good-bearing tree, it was grown in New South Wales orchards as far back as the 1820s and has a long-established history in Southern Hemisphere home orchards. Stores for approximately two months in cool conditions.
