Royal Rosa

Royal Rosa is a very early-ripening, low-chill apricot variety with firm, tasty golden flesh and yellow skin with red blush — one of the most adaptable apricot varieties in NZ, described as worth trying from Cape Reinga to Bluff due to its exceptional hardiness and low winter-chill requirements. Freestone. A reliable, early-bearing tree. One of the few apricot varieties suited to the warmest NZ coastal areas where winter chill is minimal. Self-fertile. Available at Wairere and specialist NZ nurseries.
