Romance

Romance is a mid-season sweet cherry variety ripening in early January in New Zealand, producing large, firm, dark red cherries with a sweet flavour. A reliable cropper, Romance is well regarded for fresh eating and performs well in temperate NZ growing regions. Requires a pollinator for best fruit set, with Lapins, Stella or Dawson being suitable companions. Net the tree before ripening to protect fruit from birds.
