Robertson's Peacherine

Robertson's Peacherine is a heritage NZ peacherine (peach-nectarine hybrid) with medium-sized yellow fruit with furry skin and red blush, deep orange flesh, clingstone. Buttery texture, very sweet with lots of flavour — outstanding for fresh eating, bottling and drying. Reliable heavy cropper. Ripe late February to early March. From the original Robertson homestead on the Kaipara, visited by Kay and Peter Yardley on the first Kaipara trip later documented on Country Calendar. A genuine NZ heirloom with living history. Self-fertile. Available from Koanga Institute.
