Riwaka Choice

Riwaka Choice is a New Zealand reselection of the boysenberry, noted for retaining outstanding colour and flavour of the original classic boysenberry. Named for the Riwaka area of the Nelson/Tasman region. Produces extra large berries on a somewhat spiny, trailing vine. A high-yielding variety — one of the more productive of the NZ boysenberry selections, making it particularly rewarding for picking and processing. Excellent for fresh eating, jams and desserts. Self-fertile. Train on wires in a sunny position. Harvest December to January.
