Reine Claude de Bavay

Reine Claude de Bavay is a heritage European greengage plum originating from Bavaria, prized for its superb, rich flavour — one of the finest tasting of the European plum types. Small to medium, golden-green fruit with sweet, succulent flesh. Self-fertile and known to crop very heavily. A classic variety used for fresh eating and makes outstanding jam. Mid-season. One of the more cold-hardy plum varieties, well-suited across many NZ regions. Deciduous. Available from specialist NZ heritage nurseries.
