Omapere

Omapere is a NZ heritage fig variety named for Omapere in Northland — a local selection that reflects the strong tradition of fig growing in the warmer northern parts of NZ. Produces medium-sized fruit with brown skin and red-pink flesh. Thrives in a well-drained, rich soil in full sun. All NZ figs are self-fertile — no pollinator required. A genuine NZ heritage selection, particularly suited to Northland growing conditions. Available from specialist NZ heritage nurseries.
