NZ Cranberry (Myrtus ugni)

NZ Cranberry (Myrtus ugni), also known as Chilean Guava or Ugni Berry, is a compact evergreen shrub producing small, intensely aromatic, sweet-tasting red berries in autumn. Incredible Edibles describe them as 'sherbet bombs' — bright, aromatic, complex flavour. Delicious eaten fresh or used in desserts, jams and sauces. Frost and drought tolerant once established. Excellent for edible hedging, containers and cottage gardens. Birds tend to leave the fruit alone.
