Nelmak (Macadamia)

Nelmak is sometimes referred to as the 'Queensland nut'. A reliable producer of delicious, creamy-textured small nuts. An attractive evergreen tree with glossy foliage and beautiful pink flowers in summer. Loves a sunny spot with good drainage and fertile soil, and must be protected from frost. Suits very mild to subtropical NZ climates. Plant alongside another macadamia variety for good cross-pollination. Important: macadamias are toxic to dogs.
