Mysore (Red Misi Luki)

Mysore (also known as Red Misi Luki) is a banana variety with moderate cold tolerance producing good-flavoured, medium-sized fruit. One of the most widely grown banana varieties in India and South and Southeast Asia. The Mysore banana has a slightly tart, complex flavour different from the standard Cavendish — distinctive and enjoyed by those who know it. Grows to 4–5m. Suited to warm, sheltered NZ positions.
