Myra McKee

Myra McKee is a NZ-bred red currant selection — confirmed as an excellent home garden variety producing good crops of bright red, glossy berries on good-sized strigs, ready for eating from early summer (December to February). Superb for jellies. A vigorous, upright variety that can even be trained as a standard if desired. Self-fertile. Best in full sun with good soil and a cool root run. Widely available at NZ nurseries including Palmers, Waimea and specialist berry nurseries.
