Mrs Williams

Mrs Williams is an early-fruiting fig variety producing large, good-quality figs with dark, sometimes purple-coloured skin. Being an early variety, it begins the fig harvest ahead of the main season — a useful characteristic for extending the fresh fig eating period. All NZ figs are self-fertile — no pollinator required. Grows to 3–5m in a warm, sheltered position with free-draining soil. Available from specialist NZ fig nurseries.
