Mother in Law

Mother in Law is a heritage sharp-tasting apple very popular among home cider makers — fruit has green-bronze skin with a red blush, ripening around March. The sharp acidity of Mother in Law provides essential balance when blended with sweeter cider varieties. Primarily a cider apple rather than a dessert variety. Requires a pollinator such as Egremont Russet or Irish Peach. A late-season variety. Available at Wairere Nursery.
