Moriaolo

The Moriaolo olive is a Tuscan variety which ripens early and produces heavy yields of small sized fruit. When fully mature they are purple-black in colour, but you can pick them already from a purplish-green colour. It has fairly low vigour and branches have spreading habit. It is low chill, and is ideal for exposed plantings as it is more tolerant of the wind than other varieties. It it is also fine in coastal settings, being fairly salt resistant.
