Monovale

Monovale is a hard-shelled almond variety producing nuts with a good, strong flavour — particularly well suited to marzipan and confectionery where intense almond flavour is desirable. A heavy cropper and a reliable pollinator for other almond varieties — recommended companion for Almond CY750 in particular. Partially self-fertile, so crops more heavily with a companion variety nearby. Hard-shelled — requires a nutcracker. Requires warm, dry, sheltered conditions with good drainage.
