Merveille de Bollwiller

Merveille de Bollwiller is a French heritage hazelnut variety prized for its role as a late-season pollinator, extending the flowering overlap period with other varieties. It also produces its own quality, large-sized nuts on a high-vigour plant — a dual-purpose variety. A highly regarded selection for home hazelnut orchards. Suitable pollinators include Alexandra hazelnut. Deciduous shrub to 4–5m. Nuts harvested March to April. Hardy throughout NZ.
