Maypole

Maypole is a columnar crab-apple cross producing small, dark burgundy-red fruit on a very upright, narrow tree. Primarily valued as an ornamental and pollinator — the flowers are attractive and the fruit makes good crab-apple jelly and preserves. Excellent for pollinating other apple varieties. Compact growth makes it ideal for small gardens and containers. Self-fertile. Available at The Plant Company.
