Mamie Ross

The Mamie Ross peach came from Mavis Smith’s Totara House collection in Matakohe. The Mamie Ross variety were listed in the early nursery catalogues in NZ in the 1800s.
It produces large juicy peaches with white flesh and pale white / green skin with red blush when ripe. An exquisite dessert peach with wonderful sweet flavour. The flavour of this heritage peach is magnificent, quite unlike most commercial varieties available today.
