Lord Nelson

Lord Nelson is a well-known heritage cooking apple — early season, exceptional, and important for the North. Excellent disease resistance. A heavy cropper in northern NZ. Classic old-fashioned cooking apple flavour and bite. Ripe in January, well before other cooking apples of any quality — the earliest quality cooking apple available. An important variety for the home orchard. Available from Koanga Institute.
