Loganberry (Waimate)

The Loganberry (Waimate) is a NZ strain of the classic Loganberry hybrid (blackberry × red raspberry cross). It produces long, dark red to almost black berries with a sharp, intensely flavoured taste that makes it outstanding for jams, cordials and cooking. The Waimate strain is mostly spineless and a very high yielder — one of the most productive trailing berry vines available for NZ gardens. Self-fertile. Train on wires. Harvest December to January.
