Lincoln Gold (Chestnut)

Lincoln Gold is a NZ-selected sweet chestnut variety producing large, easy-peel nuts with sweet, excellent flavour — one of the premium NZ chestnut selections for eating quality. Named for the Canterbury/Lincoln area. Pollinated by Long Bay for best nut set. Chestnuts are harvested in autumn and are excellent roasted, boiled or used in cooking. A large, vigorous, long-lived deciduous tree. Hardy across most NZ conditions.
