Leccino

Leccino is a highly popular Italian olive variety — equally valued for its ornamental evergreen grey-green foliage as for its fruit. Cold hardy and self-fertile. Best planted with Frantoio for heavier fruit set and oil production. A versatile olive suitable for both table and oil production, producing mild-flavoured, high-quality olive oil. Widely grown in NZ olive groves and home gardens. Available at specialist NZ olive nurseries. Evergreen, grows to 5–8m.
